Same site, shorter domain: mbliss.com

Out of curiousity I wondered if  mbliss.com was available last night and to my surprise it was available, it hadn’t been in quite some time, since most have trouble spelling the word molotov, I decided to scoop the domain up. I’m still not sure if I will keep it pointing here or if a seperate entity will appear on it and the blog would stay here, I’m mainly concerned with back links and 301 redirecting everything properly. I am also concerned with the domain being parked here if Google will start penalizing me for duplicate content. Anyone have any thoughts, on what would be the best use for this new shortened domain?

Hopefully the thought process will end up like this:

Magento SEO

For those that are subscribed to the Magento RSS news feed, this may not be news to you, but for those that aren’t here is a good listing of SEO best practices for Magento. My only suggestion to Yoast was to add in Google Site map generation to their list which was added, along with a bit more about how to setup the Google site map’s thats built-in to Magento automagically generate daily or such with a cron job.

Here is the full list and I’d highly recommend alot of the tips and tricks mentioned.

Google, A Behind-the-Scenes Look

I’ve had this bookmarked for awhile, and was talking with someone who asked for the link again, so I decide to post it up.  It is a bit dated, back in 2004, but I’m sure alot of the ideas are still utilized today.  Not too mention the shear insight the video gives you into the internal workings at Google… enjoy!

Back with a Vengeance!

Tune in Tokyo!

After years of staying under the radar I’ve decided to bring molotov.bliss back up to what I had originally wanted many years ago.  Some of you may remember my older flash sites that won some awards at about.com and flashkit.com.  Or some of you may remember alot of free music that I had released while with KFMF (Kosmic Free Music Foundation).   At the moment, I really just need a place to keep a tab on all of the things I have an interest in, everything from Magento Commerce, Android Development, LX Platform (particularlly the Dodge Magnum), PHP, MySQL, CSS, PhotoShop, Code Snippets, E-commerce, etc.  Basically anything I find of interest and want to share.
